What’s The Drowsy Chaperone About?
Feeling a little down, the “Woman in the Chair” puts on the cast album of her favorite musical, the fictional The Drowsy Chaperone. As the record plays, the show magically comes to life right in her apartment. Throw in two lovebirds on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, gangsters disguised as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, and of course a drowsy chaperone, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a night full of laughs.
