Save the Dates! 8th Grade Events & Activities Fee
A committee of 8th grade parents is planning the annual end-of-year social and a special field day for our 8th graders. We are suggesting a participation fee of $50 per student to cover all expenses, including a DJ, food, inflatables, games, dunk tank, photo booth, and more.
To allow us to move forward with booking vendors and finalizing plans, we kindly ask that payments be submitted by Friday, March 27th. Payment can be made by clicking HERE or dropped off in an envelope at the office. Please make checks payable to the Pierce PTO, including your student's name and a note indicating that it is for 8th grade activities.
All students will be able to participate in these celebrations regardless of contribution. Thank you in advance for helping us make these celebrations special for the entire 8th grade class! More information about all upcoming 8th grade activities will be shared with families soon.
Save the Dates:
8th Grade Social - Wednesday, June 22nd
8th Grade Moving On Ceremonies - Tuesday, June 23rd
8th Grade Field Day - Tuesday, June 23rd
Milton is hosting a clothing drive in support of Cradles to Crayons. The clothing drive is being organized by 8th grader Ben Wollacott, Milton’s Project 351 ambassador. Cradles to Crayons is a nonprofit organization that collects essentials every day for local children who are facing homelessness and/or economic challenges.
Clothing bins will be placed outside the main lobby near the front office. Sizes for newborns to 12 years of age are needed. Gently used shirts, pants, shorts, shoes, etc will be gratefully accepted (please no clothes in poor condition or with tears or rips). Every donation is important and will make an impact in someone's life, and thank you in advance.

The Pierce Girls Basketball Team had an undefeated season; Pierce Boys Basketball finished a very successful 5-3 season and Pierce wrestling had another great season staying above 500 in their matches.
Thank you to coaches Julie Denehy (girls bball), John O'Leary (boys bball) , and Ted Carroll, Matt LaBelle, Kevin Doyle, Mike Martinis and Paul Carty (wrestling) for making these experiences possible for our students!

World Read Aloud Day highlights the importance of sharing stories and promotes early literacy. Thank you to the many special community members who joined us at Collicot, every classroom was offered a special read aloud and students loved their visits. We appreciate our VIP guests sharing their time with our students!

As a reminder, Dial-a-Story is a Milton Public Library service where folks can call 617-915-1915 anytime and listen to librarians read stories, tell jokes, and the like. The content changes monthly, and for a while now they've been including guest readers - usually kids, who read a picture book in the Dial 6 slot. Damian is reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr., and March stories are posted now (they'll be live all month long). Please give a call and hear Damian read!

During the presentation, they learned a lot about the traditions of Muslims around the world during this month of the year, that Ramadan starts with the new crescent moon and ends a month later with the next crescent moon and about fasting and why Muslims fast during this time of year. They also learned about traditions and decorations in Aline's home and around Milton. Look for the signs that say Happy Ramadan and Eid, and the lights in the shape of crescent moons and stars in East Milton Square!
We are very appreciative to the Al Assad family for sharing their traditions and teaching the class about Ramadan.

On Friday, we congratulated nurse Barbara Perry on her retirement after 28 years of incredible service to our students, staff and community. Thank you, Nurse Perry!

The Sparrow - After returning to Spring Farm ten years after a tragic accident, shy senior Emily Book just wants to disappear into the background. But when one startling moment reveals what she truly is, everything changes. Overnight, Emily becomes the town’s mysterious hero, “The Sparrow.” What begins as admiration quickly twists into suspicion, forcing both Emily and Spring Farm to confront the truth they’ve buried for a decade. A blend of “Carrie”, Ray Bradbury and “Wicked”, The Sparrow taps into the aching heart of adolescence — the fear that we’re somehow different, and the hope that we might be extraordinary.
