SNAP Benefits and Milton Resources

Effective Saturday, November 1, families and students will not receive their SNAP benefits due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. These benefits will remain paused until the shutdown concludes and many of our Milton families may be directly impacted.

We want to remind all families that free, nutritious breakfast and lunch are available to all Massachusetts students every school day! Daily menu offerings can be found on our food service website and these meals will continue to be provided without interruption.

Additionally, families can find further food assistance through Project Bread’s Food Source Hotline. Counselors are available in 180 languages to connect families with resources such as the WIC Program and local food pantries.

In addition, the Town of Milton has put together a list of resources available to families, including the Milton Community Food Pantry, Milton Health Department’s Food for Milton Residents Program and the Milton Residents Fund. All details are here
