Unified Arts Students Bring Classroom Learning to Life at the Museum of Fine Arts

To celebrate the end of the semester, our Milton High Unified Arts class took its now-annual trip to the Museum of Fine Arts, an experience students and staff alike have looked forward to all year. This special visit marked the culmination of a semester spent exploring a wide range of artistic traditions and styles, from African masks and intricate quilts to abstract paintings and ceramic vessels.

Thanks to the students’ hard work and creativity during our successful winter ornament sale, we were able to use the earnings to fully fund this trip. Students were thrilled to see many of the works and ideas they studied in class come to life in the galleries. Experiencing these incredible artworks in person made the learning feel real, meaningful, and deeply inspiring.

Highlights from the day included sketching in the galleries and sharing this memorable experience with peers. We are so proud to see the Unified Arts program continue to grow and flourish, and we are already looking forward to our visit to the museum next year. A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support, celebrate, and believe in our Unified Arts Program. This trip is an amazing opportunity for our class and a powerful reminder of the impact that access to the arts can have on our students!
