After successful seasons by both the Pierce girls and boys basketball teams, the players combined efforts to take on the Pierce staff in our annual students vs. staff basketball game.
It was a great afternoon at Pierce and for the first time in many years, the students came out on top in the game!

The Model UN club sent a combined total of 31 students to both the Harvard and Boston University conferences. These conferences hosted delegations from more than 50 countries, and everyone represented our school exceptionally well.
While all participants did a great job, a few individuals deserve special recognition for earning awards:
Thinh Tran, Emily Vogel, Adam Cheairs, and Sage Kramer received Honorable Mentions at Boston University’s Model UN Conference and Orla Crosse received a Best Delegate award at the Harvard Model UN Conference. Well done, Wildcats!

Students in Mme LeBigot's 2nd grade French Immersion reading groups at Collicot and Cunningham were inspired by the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina and completed their own Olympic challenge: every time they read a book to someone, they received a medal.
BRAVO to our proud Reading Olympians!

Our very own Tucker Tiger, Damian Tutella-Chen, is a featured reader on the MPL's Dial-a-Story service during the month of March!
As a reminder, Dial-a-Story is a Milton Public Library service where folks can call 617-915-1915 anytime and listen to librarians read stories, tell jokes, and the like. The content changes monthly, and for a while now they've been including guest readers - usually kids, who read a picture book in the Dial 6 slot. Damian is reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr., and March stories are posted now (they'll be live all month long). Please give a call and hear Damian read!

Mme. Theobald's Collicot 4th graders were lucky to welcome their classmate Aline's family for a wonderful presentation about Ramadan.
During the presentation, they learned a lot about the traditions of Muslims around the world during this month of the year, that Ramadan starts with the new crescent moon and ends a month later with the next crescent moon and about fasting and why Muslims fast during this time of year. They also learned about traditions and decorations in Aline's home and around Milton. Look for the signs that say Happy Ramadan and Eid, and the lights in the shape of crescent moons and stars in East Milton Square!
We are very appreciative to the Al Assad family for sharing their traditions and teaching the class about Ramadan.

MHS Boosters FUNDrive!

Opening night of MHS Theatre's WINTER FESTIVAL is February 27th at 7PM! One night, two different shows, creating an exciting evening of theatre!
- February 27th at 7PM
- Donations to the MHS Theatre program accepted at the door
Act 1 - Student Directed 10 Minute Musical Scenes/Plays (45 Minutes)
10 Minute Student Directed Musical Scenes/Plays - Musical scenes and short plays directed by our amazing student directors
Act 2 - The Sparrow - METG One Act Fest Submission (38 Minutes)
The Sparrow - After returning to Spring Farm ten years after a tragic accident, shy senior Emily Book just wants to disappear into the background. But when one startling moment reveals what she truly is, everything changes. Overnight, Emily becomes the town’s mysterious hero, “The Sparrow.” What begins as admiration quickly twists into suspicion, forcing both Emily and Spring Farm to confront the truth they’ve buried for a decade. A blend of “Carrie”, Ray Bradbury and “Wicked”, The Sparrow taps into the aching heart of adolescence — the fear that we’re somehow different, and the hope that we might be extraordinary.
**The Winter Festival is recommended for ages 12 and up due to mature content.**
