The Pierce Girls Basketball Team had an undefeated season; Pierce Boys Basketball finished a very successful 5-3 season and Pierce wrestling had another great season staying above 500 in their matches.
Thank you to coaches Julie Denehy (girls bball), John O'Leary (boys bball) , and Ted Carroll, Matt LaBelle, Kevin Doyle, Mike Martinis and Paul Carty (wrestling) for making these experiences possible for our students!

World Read Aloud Day highlights the importance of sharing stories and promotes early literacy. Thank you to the many special community members who joined us at Collicot, every classroom was offered a special read aloud and students loved their visits. We appreciate our VIP guests sharing their time with our students!

BRAVO to our proud Reading Olympians!

As a reminder, Dial-a-Story is a Milton Public Library service where folks can call 617-915-1915 anytime and listen to librarians read stories, tell jokes, and the like. The content changes monthly, and for a while now they've been including guest readers - usually kids, who read a picture book in the Dial 6 slot. Damian is reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr., and March stories are posted now (they'll be live all month long). Please give a call and hear Damian read!

During the presentation, they learned a lot about the traditions of Muslims around the world during this month of the year, that Ramadan starts with the new crescent moon and ends a month later with the next crescent moon and about fasting and why Muslims fast during this time of year. They also learned about traditions and decorations in Aline's home and around Milton. Look for the signs that say Happy Ramadan and Eid, and the lights in the shape of crescent moons and stars in East Milton Square!
We are very appreciative to the Al Assad family for sharing their traditions and teaching the class about Ramadan.
