Help Shape Milton High School’s New Computer Science Pathway

Milton High School is excited to launch a state-designated Information Innovation Career Pathway next school year, offering students hands-on technical training, college-level coursework, and career experience in the high-demand field of Computer Science. To ensure our curriculum and work-based learning experiences align with real-world industry needs, we are seeking input, feedback, and partnership interest from local business owners, industry professionals, and families. Whether you can offer 3 minutes of feedback, guest speak to a class, or consider hosting a student intern or a capstone project down the road, your voice is essential.

Please take a moment to complete our brief MHS Information Pathway Interest & Feedback Form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc4b_zSGS2qpK31wj7aPazCHtBsbqgiU3jNMM-sz5tBvXeB7g/viewform?usp=send_form) by Friday, October 23rd.

Thank you for supporting MHS students!

During Grade 5 Math Stations, Collicot students actively engaged in collaborative and targeted mathematical learning designed to deepen their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Working in small groups, fifth graders rotated through interactive hands-on activities, partner math games, skill-building practice, and small-group instruction with the teacher. This structured approach allows students to explore core Grade 5 concepts at their own pace while developing mathematical communication, independence, and a growth mindset.

The Tucker Garden Club has kicked off for the season. Students began with an herb study, exploring different herbs and learning more about how they grow, smell, and can be used. We are excited to see our young gardeners continue to learn, explore, and get their hands dirty!

Through the sponsorship by the Board of Health, Milton Public Schools was incredibly honored to have Stephen Hill, founder of Speak Sobriety, present to students in grades 8-12 last week. It was amazing to see the student body engaged through the assembly and ask some thought provoking questions at the end. Through sharing his lived and field experience, Stephen inspired our students to lead healthy, substance-free lives by showing the value of mindfully building a life worth defending.

Congratulations to Tucker student Maggie L. , who is a featured reader on the MPL's Dial-a-Story service during the month of October!

As a reminder, Dial-a-Story is a Milton Public Library service where folks can call 617-915-1915 anytime and listen to librarians read stories, tell jokes, and the like. The content changes monthly, and for a while now we've been including guest readers - usually kids, who read a picture book in the Dial 6 slot. Maggie is reading Tuck's Haunted House by Martha Weston, and our October stories are posted now (they'll be live all month long). Please give a call and hear Maggie read!
