Once Upon a Mattress is almost here! ! A hilarious take on “The Princess and the Pea,” Once Upon A Mattress sets an unapologetic free spirit loose in a repressed kingdom, reveling in Winnifred's ability to charm and transform with willpower, honesty, and a little bit of help from her friends.
Don't miss out on seeing our talented MHS Theatre students during four (sure to be sell out) shows on Thursday, November 21st 7pm; Saturday, November 23rd at 2pm and 7pm and Sunday, November 24th at 2pm.

A message from the Milton School Committee:
Over the past several years, the Milton School Committee has explored how we can make our district calendar inclusive and more representative of our diverse community. We revised our calendar policy in 2022 to ensure that students celebrating holidays not acknowledged with an official day off would receive necessary accommodations. We are in the process of reviewing our calendar and need your input. We are gathering community input through a survey, a series of open conversations taking place in schools and the November 20 School Committee meeting. We hope all will share their thoughts in one of those ways.
The survey can be found here: https://forms.gle/RmLtV4T6xaFx3k658

Our MHS students have been on the move with recent field trips to Harvard, MIT, the Museum of Scientific Instruments, an HBCU College Fair, Hancock Hill and NYC for a Broadway Show!
These trips simply would not happen without the creativity and dedication of the MHS staff. These trips take work - planning, driving, securing funding, giving time up out of school - and our MHS staff figures it out and makes it happen!

It's time to shop for our schools!

Earlier in October, our elementary schools hosted almost 100 of their former students for community service during the MHS SAT day. Students helped out in classrooms, read stories to kids, played at recess, and so much more! Thanks to all of our 9th grade volunteers and to our schools for welcoming them!

Shoutout to our Collicot 5th Graders who raised an additional $233.82 at their Social last week, to add to Collicot’s Glow Gold contribution!
As Milton Glows Gold wraps up, we'll be excited to share the total raised from Jumping Jacks, generous sponsors and so many thoughtful kids who held lemonade stands, cookie sales and events like the Collicot Social.

Collicot’s first art projects of the year have come together beautifully!
2nd grade artists created artwork inspired by Olympic events. Students created their own figure by gluing down upcycled cardstock which is called a collagraph. Students then made a print or rubbing from their design and layered the prints on top of a background of concentric circles.

We had a beautiful day for Walk and Wheel to School Day last week. It was wonderful to see so many families walking, biking and scootering to school!

Milton is holding two Flu Clinics on 10/16 and 10/17. There is also a school wide clinic for students on 10/24 at Pierce from 4pm-6pm.
All details can be found on the Town of Milton website: www.townofmilton.org

Milton Glows Gold in September and so does MPS!
Milton Glows Gold (MGG) was created by the MCM Fund to raise awareness and support for kids battling cancer and to support families with financial assistance. This year, the MCM Fund is hosting Milton Glows Gold in loving memory of Emily L. Butt, who passed away on February 27, 2024, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Emily's vibrant spirit and infectious smile were a gift to all who knew her during her precious eight years of life.
All details on Milton Glows Gold can be found here (www.miltonglowsgold.org) or at the link in our profile. Let's Glow Gold this September, Milton!
