Congratulations to MHS DECA on their successful conference last week! DECA is a non-profit organization for high school and college students that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
Congratulations as well to our 3 MHS finalists: Emma Clarke in PMK and Nicole Sun and Elaina Wong in BTDM! As a chapter, the team earned 2 Thrive Academy ICDC spots through the Chapter Campaign, and 3 Leadership Academy ICDC spots in the State Campaign!
Five DECA members earned spots at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando where they will be competing in events and attending leadership conferences. Congrats to Elaina, Nicole, Emma, Sarah Clarke, and Jackie Segall!

On Friday February 14th, Pierce Middle School was excited to have Dr. "The Machine" Jesse Green come and do grade level assemblies for all of our students titled 'Chainsaws, Cheeseburgers and Rock n Roll.'
His inspiring story was entertaining, engaging and motivated our students to seek out their dreams. From the words of Green, "Opportunities are like cheeseburgers. Some are big, some are small, some are basic, and some have it all. Some even have bacon."

This event is open to everyone, and no payment is required to attend. However, donations are greatly appreciated and will help support the class of 2026. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

It's Music on our Schools Month!
Last week Mrs Wash's Cunningham 2nd graders presented in the first person as African American heroes. Students selected Civil Rights activists, politicians, athletes, inventors, poets and more to learn about and then craft presentations for their classmates. The class loved this hands on learning project!
Ms. Bernini's Collicot Art Room is positively GLOWING! Students are busy finishing up their aboriginal inspired sea turtles for this year's coral reef themed glow room.

Madison’s work was awarded Honorable Mention in the grades 6-8 category of the Massachusetts Art Education Association 2025 Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest!

MHS Best Buddies celebrated Valentine's Day this week with friends, games, treats, and a some photo booth fun. Best Buddies wishes everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!

It is with great excitement that we announce the outstanding achievement of three MHS students who have been selected as recipients of the prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Awards!
As the nation's longest-running and most esteemed recognition program for creative teens, the Scholastic Awards celebrate exceptional young talent across the country.
Siabh Chaplin, Grade 9, earned a Silver Key for her captivating short story, Elmstone Manor.
Maya Sekhar, Grade 11, was awarded a Silver Key for her intricate 3D woven baskets, Childhood in Scraps.
Ann Nguyen, a senior who will be attending the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the fall, received a Silver Key for her painting, Chà Một Cột, and a Gold Key for her digital artwork, Evergreen. Ann's Gold Key winning piece will now move on to be judged at the national level—a remarkable honor.
Recognition from the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers is a tremendous accomplishment. Congratulations to Siabh, Maya and Ann for earring these prestigious awards and for making our MPS community proud!

Ms. Kelley's freshman MHS Social Studies class recently participated in their own Peace of Paris Conference, which took place after World War 1.
Students represented different countries at the end of the war and tried to negotiate a peace plan. Our students did a great job staying in character while advocating for their country's rights and realized how difficult it is to make sure each country is represented fairly.

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of our student musicians from both Pierce Middle School and Milton High School who earned spots in the Junior and Senior SEMSBA Festivals and the MMEA Junior District Festival! These students spent the first half of the school year preparing pieces and auditioned on Saturday, February 1st, alongside students from over 30 other communities.
A huge congratulations to all of these dedicated students who have worked so hard. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments! Please join us in celebrating the following students.
